Allah SWT said in surat Al-Ma’edah Aya 6:
O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salat (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles.
Wudu (Ablution) is an act of worship. Performing wudu in the correct order enables us to offer salah and connect with Allah (SWT). Cleanliness is a vital part of Islam. Therefore, Muslims believe that out of humility and respect for their Creator, they prepare their mind, heart and body and be in a state of purity to offer salah and establish a connection with their lord (SWT).
At Al-Hidayah Islamic School, this is taught with special attention and care to prepare students for a lifelong practice. The images below explain different activities our Year 3 students engaged in to learn Wudu steps. In addition, our Year 3 students learnt about pure water and investigated how we classify its purity. Furthermore, they learnt about its uses, one of which is Wudu.
