All teachers agree that the Fun Maths Activity day was exciting and stimulating for the enthusiastic students.
The incursion was a load of fun and promoted positive attitudes towards mathematics. The activities were developed specifically to suit the maths curriculum from Pre Primary to year 7. It catered for all developmental levels.
The activities were all hands-on, relevant and meaningful for learning Maths. The presenter introduced the students to some background history of famous mathematicians and ancient maths games.
The activities were then tied to Islam, connecting the necessity of having mathematical knowledge to understand the intricacies of the world and its creation.
This way students come to know that all creations are ultimately connected to the creator: Allah.
Al-Hidayah always endeavours to present curriculum knowledge as the Knowledge of Allah because all Knowledge ultimately comes from the Creator.
